Our guesthouse is known for miles around for its tasty meals and the high quality sausages and processed meats from
our own butchery. Because we are proponents of happy animals we put great value on animal friendly livestock where care and love is shown to the animals. Since November 2013 all our pork is of the
arguably healthier “Herbal pig” variety, animals that have lived in natural conditions and been fed natural products, so we can serve our guests meat with a clear conscious.
Our beef is all from a biological and animal friendly farm run by our friend, farmer Volker Thome from Weiskirchen, just as our turkey is acquired from a free range turkey farm. Only these meat
sources are used in both our restaurant and butchery.
And moreover we offer game from deer and wild boar, game hunted in the very forest that surrounds our village. Meat from these animals can also be acquired from our butchery (open whenever our
restaurant is open).
And if you are a vegetarian you are certain to find something to your taste as well, many of the ingredients are obtained from biological growers.
And to go with all these culinary delights we have a selection of good wines from the Mosel, Saar, Ruwer area and France but also of many other parts of the world. A small wine tasting at your
table is always possible so you will be certain your wine matches your taste perfectly. After all, a good wine and a good meal hold the promises of the joys of life.
And for those who desire the finer distilled spirits we have the “Himmelsleiter” (ladder to heaven) or our “a different desert”, a selection of five different spirits (1cl each) of our assortment.
“In vino veritas, im Schnaps ist auch sowas”, (In wine there is truth, but in distilled as well).
Our daily changing lunch menu can be enjoyed from 12:00 till 14:00.
