General Information

When you visit our website, personal data is processed. In order for pages to be displayed in your browser, the IP address of your device must be processed, along with further information about your browser.

We are legally obliged under data protection law to ensure the confidentiality and integrity of personal data processed by our IT systems. For this purpose, the following data is logged:

  1. Information about the browser type and version used
  2. The user's operating system
  3. The user's internet service provider
  4. The user's IP address (for a maximum of 7 days)
  5. Date and time of access
  6. Websites from which the user's system accesses our website
  7. Websites accessed by the user's system via our website

IP addresses are deleted or anonymised from all systems after a maximum of 7 days. The data is also used to correct errors on the website.

The legal basis for this data processing is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is the operation of this website and the implementation of the protection objectives of confidentiality, integrity and availability of data.

Cookies

This website uses cookies – data packets exchanged between the website's server and your browser. Cookies cannot cause any damage to the devices used and do not contain any viruses or other malware.

Most browsers accept cookies by default. Browser settings can be configured to prevent cookies from being accepted, or to display a notice before a new cookie is created. Please note that disabling cookies may mean that not all features of this website can be used to their full extent.

Session cookies are automatically deleted when you leave the website. Temporary cookies allow the website to automatically recognise your previous settings on a return visit.

The processing of data via cookies is justified for the purposes stated above in order to protect our legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contact & E-Mail

You can contact us via our e-mail address. In this case, the personal data transmitted with the e-mail will be stored for the purpose of processing your message.

Enquiries received via our e-mail address are stored in our system and regularly reviewed to determine whether data can be deleted. Data that is no longer required will be deleted, unless legal retention obligations apply. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Contact Form

If you write to us using the contact form, we process the details entered there (name, e-mail address, telephone number if provided, subject and your message) in order to answer your enquiry. The details are sent to us by e-mail and are not stored on the website. The form sets a technically necessary session cookie which protects against misuse and is deleted when you close your browser. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract (for example a reservation), and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the enquiry as soon as it has been dealt with, unless legal retention obligations apply.

Voluntary Information

Where you voluntarily provide data to us, e.g. in forms, and this is not required for the fulfilment of our contractual obligations, we process this data on the basis that we assume such processing to be in your interest.

Recipients & Data Sharing

Data you provide to us will not be passed on to third parties as a matter of principle. In particular, your data will not be passed on to third parties for their advertising purposes.

We may use service providers for the operation of this website. We select our service providers carefully – particularly with regard to data protection and data security – and take all data protection measures required for lawful data processing.

SSL / TLS Encryption

For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this site uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the fact that the address bar of the browser changes from "http://" to "https://" and by the padlock symbol in your browser bar.

When SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Minors

Minors may not transmit personal data to us without the consent of a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly process personal data from minors in connection with this website.

Third-Party Services: Google Maps & YouTube

On some pages we embed third-party content: a map from “Google Maps” on the contact page and a video from “YouTube”. Both services are provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; its parent company is Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA.

This content is only loaded once you actively request it by clicking “Load map” or “Load video”. Only then is a connection to Google's servers established and, among other things, your IP address transmitted; a transfer to the USA is possible. Google may set cookies in the process. We embed the video in privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com). We have no influence on any further processing by Google.

The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and Section 25 (1) of the German TDDDG, which you give by clicking. Without a click, no data is transmitted.

Fonts & Icons

The fonts (Playfair Display, Lato) and icons (Font Awesome) used on this website are stored locally on our server. No connection to third-party servers is established for them when you visit our pages.

Hosting

This website is hosted by STRATO GmbH, Otto-Ostrowski-Straße 7, 10249 Berlin, Germany. When you visit our pages, Strato processes the access data that arises (for example IP address, date and time of the request) on our behalf on servers in Germany. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in providing this website securely and reliably.

Your Rights as a Data Subject

You have the right to obtain information about the personal data concerning you. You may contact us directly at any time with an access request. If the request is not made in writing, we may ask you to provide proof of identity.

You also have the right to rectification or erasure of data, or to restriction of processing, to the extent permitted by law, as well as the right to object to processing and the right to data portability.

Consent

Where we process your personal data on the basis of consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

Right to Lodge a Complaint

You have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority for data protection regarding the processing of personal data by us.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy to reflect new legal requirements or changes in circumstances. We therefore recommend that you review this page regularly to stay informed about the current version of our privacy policy.
