Hochwald Potato Days
From Wednesday, 14 October, up to and including Sunday, 25 October 2026, everything revolves around the local potato, known here as the “Kromper”. Look forward to a fine selection of potato dishes.
Saturday, 31 October 2026
Halloween Party
From 7 pm: come and dance into the night, celebrate, have a drink and help yourself at the free bring-along “spooky buffet”. Live music from 8.30 pm.
Friday, 13 November 2026
Schuppen Disco
From 8 pm with the music of the 60s, 70s and 80s: perfect for dancing and enjoying the flair of the old days, just like back then in the barn across the road. Happy hour from 9.30 pm to 10 pm.
Specialities all about the “Kromper”
We cook with organic potatoes from farmers Til & Max Hoffmann in Wadern. There are vegan and vegetarian dishes as well as meat from species-appropriate farming:
- Straw-bedded pork from Kneppel butchers, Morbach
- Organic beef from Volker Thome, Weiskirchen
- Chicken from Lausberghof farm, Niederstedem
